Lens Adapter with CPL for Micro Four Thirds Cameras

Fotodiox posted this intro video of their Vizelex Polar adapter for Micro Four Thirds. The adapter sells for $99 (or 135 Euro) at Amazon US, Amazon DE, Amazon UK, Amazon FR, Amazon IT, Amazon ES.

We’ve all been there. You’re ready to shoot a gorgeous landscape, surging waterfall, or classic car… Suddenly you realize that reflection and haze are reducing detail and contrast, and the image is not as crisp as you know it could be. The solution used to be fumbling around for the right sized circular polarizer for your lens, but now with the new Polar Throttle, you can just dial in the CPL filter that’s built right into the lens adapter itself!

(FT5) Confirmed: Olympus 45mm f/1.2 in the works too!

The third lens of the PRO f/1.2 prime lens line up will be the 45mm f/1.2!

After the current 25mm f/1.2 Olympus plans to launch the 17mm f/1.2 and the 45mm f/1.2. It’s yet unclear if Olympus will announce just both at the same time. What we know is that for sure at least one of the two lenses (maybe the 17mm) will be announced this autumn.

Note: The current Olympus 25mm f/1.2 is in Stock at [shopcountry 64545].

New GH5 and Leica 12mm reviews

Imaging Resource posted the full GH5 review:

The Panasonic GH5 is a wonderful successor to an already great hybrid still & video camera, and the new features and performance make it far more valuable than its $2000 price tag. We have no doubt that this will become one of the most popular video cameras for independent filmmakers and videographers thanks to its stellar video quality, extended list of video features and options, long battery life and excellent durability.

Lenstip tested the Leica 12mm lens:

It’s worth emphasizing the fact that full frame 1.4/24 lenses are not only more difficult to design but also, unlike the Panasonic, their optics is responsible for distortion correction without any help from camera’s software. In that light even if the results of the Panasonic were outstanding in every category it still should be criticized for its exorbitant price.
