2 years ago |We don’t care about silver Panasonic…get the black and red ones out! Why do they have such issues with meeting demand?

2 years ago |we have black, and red in the UK already … but I’ve not seen a silver one listed, perhaps that’s all that went on the shipment to the US?

2 years ago |Actually, both the black and the white GF2s are in stores here in Norway right now… probably because we’re so few people here that they didn’t manage to sell all the cameras on preorder
I went for the black one!

2 years ago |Panasonic had better start gearing up their production of the GF2 ASAP or lose out on potential sales and market penetration elsewhere in the world. Latest BCN sales in Japan show that GF2 models have climbed into the #5,#18,#22,#59 spots behind only NEX5 at #2,#4 in mirrorless sales. In contrast the highest EPL1 model is #14 with 8 models ranging on down to #49 most in decline inspite of price reductions because of the new EPL2 which is moving up starting at #34 with 5 models in the top 70.
Looks like the trend to small mirrorless is accelerating in Japan and the DSLR falling rapidily with only a few models like the Canon Kiss4 or Nikon 3100 managing to hold even and a few others. We have already read of reports that in UK mirrorless is now 20% of new DSLR sales and I wouldn’t be surprised to see a 50% penetration in Japan soon if it hasn’t already been reached. I think Canikon and Pentax have been too slow to react in contrast to Sony with their NEXs.

2 years ago |They have the GF2 Bodys (black) in stock still. I just called them to ask about shipping and the guy was a total ass! *excuse my language, but Samy’s has some serious customer service problems. I won’t be buying my GF2 from them, I’d rather wait.
