Amazon says “will not arrive before Dec 25″.

4 years ago |At least for Olympus, Amazon always gets stock after the stores that carry Olympus DSLRs. In particular, my store (Hunts in Melrose, MA) called me up last night saying the E-P2 that I pre-ordered was in, and I will pick it up tomorrow (Saturday). Over at dpreview.com, Kirk Tuck said that his store in Austin, TX (probably Precision Camera) also called him that his E-P2 was in.
So, Olympus has started shipping, but whether there were enough cameras in the initial shipment, I don’t know. I imagine probably not.
When I ordered the E-510 it was a similar situation, where I pre-ordered the camera, and got it in the first shipment. As I recall, the store had 3 pre-orders, but Olympus only delivered 1 (which I got) and the the other 2 people got theirs a few days later on the second shipment came in.
