4 months ago |It would be better for Sigma to consider a lots of thing before they make a lens for M43 ,. At least make something really interesting ,.. Get serious Sigma or you wont sell anything even though you put the price low

4 months ago |It would be good for you to consider getting even HALF a clue before spouting nonsense.
These are the ‘OLD’ Sigma lenses at clearance pricing so that the VENDOR can get rid of them & make room for the NEW versions of these lenses, which are coming now/soon.
SIGMA didn’t price these @ $99, the vendor did. The fact that you don’t know this means you’re clearly a MFT and/or Sigma troll, not someone who actually knows or uses the format.

4 months ago |non of these sigma make interesting,.just F2.8 or the FL,..the VN 42mm F.95 ,.thats what i call interesting,..
or you don’t understand what it means interesting,..what makes this VENDOR have to low the price,.it is because the lens is not INTERESTING enough,.or maybe your brain is really NOT INTERESTING to understand these format

Shows what you know. The two Sigmas in Japan also dropped to “$100″ (9000yen) in the last month.

4 months ago |I was really tempted to buy these Sigma lenses, but all the focal lengths are completely useless to me and too slow. If they were a bit faster, I might bite, but as it stands they’re pretty boring.

4 months ago |At this price, I think they are a pretty good deal. I have found the 19mm lens to focus much faster than the Lumix G 20mm lens, and hence, better for video. (Click on my name for a blog with tests.) Also, the sharpness is good, but not as good as the Lumix G 20mm (which is much more expensive). The Sigma 30mm lens is even better, in my experience.

4 months ago |A person expanding into M4/3 can get a GX-1 and 2 serviceable primes for $500? And this is a not a deal how exactly? We should ALL hope this brings many new users into the M4/3 base. I see no downside to these deals or to getting M4/3 into more hands.

4 months ago |Mediocre lenses are not going to help the system. It’s gonna hurt it. if a new user picks up a gx1 and and a 19/2.8, its a boring setup with boring, limited results. the 19 isn’t a pancake, isn’t particularly fast or optically amazing. It’s unimpressive therefore people will be unimpressed with the system.

4 months ago |You clearly know nothing about these lenses. They are not mediocre. And why does it have to be a pancake? That is your problem. The lenses are very sharp and have excellent IQ.
Andrew
4 months ago |It doesn’t have to be anything. I’m simply saying there’s nothing special about them. Therefore, mediocre. And I have used them, btw. Fast lenses and/or small size, and/or focal lengths/zooms we don’t have yet. Sigma has made much more interesting lenses so it makes it frustrating when they release things like this. These lenses aren’t inherently bad, but to release them before much better lenses could’ve been released is the criticism I’m making. No need to get defensive and insulting. Lol. Sorry you’re so emotionally connected to these. Win arguments with points, not insults.

4 months ago |It might be unimpressive, but the lens and camera are in fact very good. They are well worth the money, that is if you are interested and taking great pictures, as opposed to showing a camera with a red dot or a monster DSLR to impress the natives. 2.8 is not that bad on a camera that is not an SLR, and with proper lighting or tech-nick is more then enough.

4 months ago |well, not the best lens around but for 99$ u wouldnt get a better deal anywhere else..not even if u consider some legacy primes…maybe some outstending 30mm or 19/20mm legacy lenses are better then those form Sigma, but u would pay much more then 99$ for them
…an 28mm f2.0 from Kiron cost around 150-200$ used on ebay, u can get it for less but it would be not in perfect condition. Then u have to consider resolution of the lens to…
