Panasonic GH2 to ship in Europe from November 14 (Adorama takes GH2 preorders)
We just received the info that Panasonic will ship the GH2 from November 14 (Europe). Reminder the GH2 will start shipping from October 29 in Japan and by end of November in US.
UPDATE: Katten posted some GH2+100-300mm lens image samples on Flickr.
A 43rumors reader noticed that: “I had a GH2 Body on my wish list at BHPhoto for the past two weeks. Logged in to my account last night and the GH2 Body is no longer on my list, and BH have removed all references to GH2 Bodies from their price list. Interesting…“.
Meanwhile also Adorama has the GH2 available for preorder.

Both www.vistek.ca and www.henrys.ca have the GH2 available for pre-order and ship date in canada is december 17th, body and 14-140 lens only tho. (Thanks Scott)

3 years ago |So, all traces of a body only option have been erased from the US and European retailers. Of course, the Japanese one still has this option. This sucks! Panasonic is trying to maximize profit in the US by forcing us to take a crappy 14-42 zoom lens. Not going to buy it that way. Will stick to my GH1 (GH13) until they come to their senses.

3 years ago |I contacted the Swedish Panasonic support and they confirmed the body only will be available. But, the support didn’t give me any release date or if the body only version will be released at the same time as other GH2 options.
A wild guess is that Panasonic removed all body only options to make people preorder GH2 with kitlenses.

3 years ago |Re: body only, the panasonic rep told my retailer that they opted for no body only in the Uk as the UK division massively over ordered the gh1(body only) and were left with major egg on their face when they couldnt shift them. So they were scared it could happen again. Don’t know how true this is, but its what i was told.
