One of our readers sent us follwoing message:
It seems that Panasonic G2 doesn’t bother is battery genuine or not!
It accepts anything you feed into battery compartment, any object that supplies proper voltage and has proper size..
Ordinary serial G2 specimen just bought in ordinary Russian shop was used for tests. It takes without questions three types of cheap China replace batteries, taken from three different sources. All three batteries were rejected by G1 with v.1.5.firmware.
It’s really strange that none of numerous pre-reviews ever mentioned this most useful feature of G2

One moe thing: New G2 image smaples have been posted at Whatdigitalcamera, Fotopolis and Pixinfo.

It was my post concerning 3d party batteries available for G2.
And I regret to announce that it was a mistake. Really G2 takes non-genuine batteries without warning and lets you see it’s working. But some later when you try to make some shots it refuses further operating with ordinary message that the battery cannot be used.

  • That is really interesting, You’re an excessively professional blogger. I have joined your rss feed and look forward to looking for extra of your fantastic post. Also, I have shared your web site in my social networks
