New Olympus E-P3 firmware.
Today all current E-P3 owners can upgrade to firmware version 1.1. It will bring following fixes:
1) The issue of the buttons not working when the Monitor (Touch screen) is touched while using the Electronic viewfinder has been resolved.
2) The issue of the AF target not displaying while using the Eye-Fi card has been resolved.

you’re in the same water as many pointless people here wishing for built in EVF. Why the hell they don’t buy the G3? or GH2? or freaking DSLR?
they just spam comments with pointless ideas (note, you can buy EVF if you wish for) when they can see the direction m43 takes is PORTABILITY. The smaller the better.
Want heavier/bigger? Zillion of lenses/options to choose from so go away.
Something Sony NEX doesn’t get it with its lenses, and Samsung isn’t any better here. End of rant.

you’re suggesting to ‘just’ go for a completely different camera system because it has the aspect ratio we want ? seriously ? who is the ranting idiot spammer here -who doesn’t get other peoples needs.
Besides, going to a different aspect ratio camera still doesn’t make it Multi AR.
And there is a big difference between a built in finder on the corner of a camera compared to a big hunk on top and in the middle.

2 years ago |I agree but obviously we can’t be right because MJr disagrees with us. He doesn’t seem to realise that a multi aspect sensor is not available on a DSLR, and I want a smaller camera than the GH I already own. I must be mistaken though.

2 years ago |Does the new firmware have any effect on the startup time? My then-sold E-P3 running on FW 1.0 has an actual startup time of 2.6″, which was monumentally slow. That’s the reason I sold it. Apart from the lack of integrated EVF (VF-2 makes it hard to take out and put in the bag, not to mention camera looks a lot less attractive with it on), and this monumental slow startup time, I would’ve kept the E-P3 for life. But now I’ve sold it… please tell me the GX1 is good.

2 years ago |I don’t know about that, but I hear the new firmware grabs any nearby credit card numbers and sends them to the Cayman Islands. It’s OK though, clearly they need the money.

One small problem. Oly’s updater won’t work on my Mac. Can’t detect the camera it seems.
Sort of like the new CEO and the rest of the board cannot/could not detect anything wrong with losing $687,000,000 of the the company’s money.
