The Silver Panasonic GX1 with 12-42mm X lens is now for sale for $399 only at Amazon US (Click here). Consider that the X lens alone sells now for $386 at Amazon. Yep, it means that the “extra” GX1 body costs you $13 only!!!

UPDATE: Amazon first sold out the cameras and removed the offer. Than it came back in Stock and now it’s again sodl out. Keep checking the Amazon GX1X page to see when it is back again. On the ranking page you see the GX1X on top with the $399 price (Click here to see the ranking).

“Sells for” and “costs” are two completely different things. Nobody is actually paying $386 for this lens.

for sure. Amazon itself lists that lens for $325 (silver). Not sure why the silver is cheaper. I do want that lens on a GF5.

That is more than the Panasonic 14-45mm lens. Wouldn’t most users spending $300+ on an f/3.5 zoom lens use that one instead? It had great optical characteristics.

Hello Admin, the link provided shows a $599 price for me….

It was a bait and switch! These sellers are playing games with you!

      • wls

It might have been a mistake. Price errors occur all the time and cane be some real bargains for those who find them first.

You would be lucky to sell that lens for $250 on ebay. Still, $150 isn’t a bad deal for a GX1.

Amazon is selling a GX1 body for $264. That’s a lot more appealing than a crappy zoom. Too bad they don’t sell a kit with the 20mm. That’s a fantastic combo!

I’ve been using my GX1 with an Oly Body Cap Lens. Fun!

      +1!

No doubt this is a very great deal .
A great camera to grab .
I don’t believe the incoming GF7 even with GF1 size can match the current GX1 in image quality , is two different class of camera (12 megapixels & 16 megapixels ) .

no details about specs ,do not guess

I just don’t see this online here. I paid like USD 400 by my kit, image and sensor has small difference to my OMD, but the controls are much better than OMD!

An GX2 with GH3 sensor will be a really good alternative to OMD!

&13… well, now Panasonic knows the price of mediocrity.
