2 years ago |Nice, but I think Robin needs to upgrade his bandwith. I have trouble getting to see the images in the reviews. Maybe the interest in the E-M5 is too much for his server…
Also, he’s technically wrong on the world first IBIS preview statement. With the E-520, you could press a button to stabilise the liveview. I never understood why they left it out with the PENs. It is true that the implementation with the E-M5 (stabilised live view in the EVF, on half press of the shutter) is much better than anything before.

2 years ago |indeed the E-3 already had the preview button, but to be honest they were not really usable compared with the implementation in the OM-D now

2 years ago |You mean the E-3 has a Depth of Field preview in Live View? I certainly have not heard of IS preview in the live view.

I have an E-520 and the 50mm F2 lens, I have just tried the live view. No, the IS does not stabilize the live view. I tried it both on and off, no difference, with my shaky hands, the screen was jumping like crazy.
