First GF3 kit discontinued (US deals reminder)
Panasonic US is clearing their GF3 stocks and the Brown kit has now been discontinued. For that price the GF3 is a nice deal unless you really need the minor upgrades the newer GF5 has to offer.

12 months ago |I wonder if Panasonic is going to discontinue the current 14-140mm and introduce an “x” version that is lighter in weight, smaller, and has power zoom for video applications……It would make sense in the lens line-up when they bring out the new G5 and GH3…..

12 months ago |The G-models have been launched without any clear “pattern” for the date, but spring/early summer have been used for the last two versions. The G3 spec is still pretty competitive though so they might wait a while.

1. Redesigned sensor and Venus Engine. While the size and resolution of the sensor are unchanged, the frontside circuitry now has a lower profile and is better located, so it doesn’t block as much light.
Thus, the GF5′s top ISO is 12800 (vs 6400), more sophisticated noise filtering, and slightly faster continuous shooting rate, 4fps (vs. 3.8).

12 months ago |I fancy the 3D lens, but the UPS shipping to England from B&H is killing me (nearly the same as the lens), USPS would be way cheaper. Anyone know of similar good deals, maybe in Europe?
