A fake Panasonic GF2

We are still looking for some REAL GF2 and GH2 (or GF3 and GH3) leaks. In the meanwhile people starts to imaginate how the new GF could look like

3 years ago |I agree. Unless/until there’s a GFx/E-Px with a built-in viewfinder I see no compelling reason to upgrade from the GF1.

3 years ago |Looks just like a L1, anyway why should Panasonic make the next gf1 even larger than smaller?
Have you guy seen the new LX5, there is now also a port for the electrical viewfinder

3 years ago |This mock-up is much uglier than the real GF-1. The GF-1′s sublime good looks are one of its best selling points – and I can’t see Panasonic messing with that. That lens mock-up is something only a mother could love – like something to kill zombies with in Half Life 2.
I don’t mind artist speculations – I find them kind of interesting in fact. Whoever did this one lacks an artistic sense of proportion and grace in their design however.

3 years ago |Looks more or less like a G version of DMC-L1. specially with that Leica branded f2.8 zoom.
Add an EVF, rethink the interface and you get a DMC-GL1.
Its ok, there is a market for that. At least on the dpreview forum.

3 years ago |I predict the GF2/3 will look a lot like the GF1. It may get the current GH1 sensor with the new G2 processor and some additional film modes, perhaps the new microlenses, probably a touch screen LCD that may tilt up and down like the NEX. I don’t see a built-in EVF into the GF series at all – it could compete with the G-series too much.

It would be compact and just like a traditional camera. I rarely use the LCD on my gh1 although it can be useful for those low/high shots.

3 years ago |There will never be a G(xyz) with only viewfinder. There a people which would buy such a camera (like me) if the VF is big enoug and tiltable,
But the marketing guys from panasonic will look at the “average”-consumer which prefers a LCD (of course a touchscreen)
I would love a GF2 in size of a LX5 (maybe a little bit thicker) with VF port on the left (not center)
