After a decade of absence, Schneider announced its return and launched this new 14-24 mm Full Frame E-mount lens manufactured in collaboration with Samyang. This reminded me of the following:
Over 10 years ago, Schneider announced the development of three new MFT lenses. However, shortly afterwards, Schneider realized that the market was not sufficiently interested in these three MFT lenses with manual focus and abandoned the project.
