  • I just want an E-P1 firmware update that will allow me to shrink the &^%$#@ focus box.

Hmm, would rather have seen “XZ-1: Fixed Auto ISO issue”

    • Adam

No kidding. I bought an XZ-1 and it was always stuck at 200 ISO when using auto. Figured Olympus would have fixed teh auto ISO issue with the first update. I eventually returned it because there was a huge dust speck within the lens.

Firmware updates is only for correcting unintended behaviour.

Do not expect a P&S camera to get any new features with a f/w update.

    Unfortunately only fools dream!

The LX3 got a lot of new features with the firmware updates.

  • I’m with Zaph.

I wish Nikon would post firmware as often as Olympus and Panasonic releases new cameras…

  • Tservo

I wonder if this is an indication of them releasing those neat fisheye, wide angle and macro adapters soon or if they are just fuckin with us.

It’s a long-shot, but I hope Olympus will release a firmware update that will allow you to adjust (or turn off) noise reduction on JPEGs.
