Third Panasonic lens price drop in three days: 7-14mm for $759 (UPDATE: deal gone)

Today the price of the 7-14mm f/4.0 zoom went down to $759 at Amazon US (Click here). This is a $130 price drop compared to the usual price ($889 at BHphoto now). UPDATE: Deal is now over!

P.S.: he curious thing is that this is the third price drop on the third lens in three days:
on Sunday the 12-35mm X lens price dropped by $200 at Amazon (still ongoing!).
on Monday the 20mm f/1.7 lens price dropped by $30 at Amazon (still ongoing!).
And today we have that one.

So….what kind of lens would you like to see discounted tomorrow?

  • Ben

The 35-100mm. I would love to have that lens, but at US$1500, it’s just out of my reach.

  • I have a feeling we could be see a new 7-14mm and 8mm early next year with better build and new features…..

    • Dphotog

7-14mm 2.8 :) ? 2.8 zooms seem to be the new thing for Panny lenses.

    • tmrgrs

If that happened, maybe the original 7-14 would become more affordable, if not new then maybe used from the upgraders.

    14mm 2.5?

  • Bite Me

    Must be a fire sale…

    • Hmmmmm…. Who launched a mirrorless camera to retail at £899 12 months ago and now sells at a 66% discount… Now that’s a fire sale :)

  • Uberzone

My money is staying in my pocket until panasonic comes out with that 43mm 1.2

  • Allan

    25mm f/1.4

  • It shows $888.95 on the web site.

    • east coast

must be some regional pricing going on, i am having the same issue, as i did with a price cut mentioned yesterday on another lens.

    A 7-14 2.8 would be super good…

  • megaman

why you should have 2.8 at such a wide angle??

    • J Shin

Low-light crowd shots and snaps at events. Indoor architectural shots. Dawn/dusk landscapes. Shallower DOF for miniature landscapes. Better critical focusing. Showing off (or hiding behind) a very large, intimidating piece of glass. :-)

Also, to work better with the underpowered built-in/kit flashes.

I check my Amazon Wishlist, of which this lens is included, multiple times daily for price reductions. It is currently $888.95, and has consistently remained remained that way since adding it.

If it was $759, it was only that for a very short time. And,, I would have purchased it, if I saw it was so.

there was an article for Christmas Shopping about Amazon on the news. It stated pretty clearly that Amazon prices clearly change through out the day. Best sale times are sometimes really late at night and rise back up toward regular hours of the day. So it just happens to go up and down alot even if it is a couple hundred dollars in the rise and fall of the price.

doesn’t matter…. the lens was $620 in china 12 months ago, and I bought one, haha

  • dionys

I saw the 7-14mm selling in like new condition from Amazon for $720 earlier today. They have a 30 day return policy. I hesitated as I was not really in the market for this lens (I am actually selling my Oly 9-18mm now). But i added to the cart and behold it was no longer available GRRR! I think the 7-14mm will be having price swings in tha following days as I saw with the 12-35 recently.

  • I bought this lens second hand in Japan and paid more, that’s a bargain!

As a side note, it’s great at the full price too, well worth it.
