Olympus E-P2 availability informations and E-P1 deals

I collected some E-P2 availability infos:

In US and EUROPE the official availability is planned for early January. The informations we received do say that Olympus is trying to anticipate the E-P2 sales on mid-December. I just received an email from Australia where Olympus confirmed that they will have the first E-P2 ready for sale on December 15.

And the E-P2 firmware 1.0 is almost ready.

Photorumors received a tip “that Olympus distributors have informed some dealers about an upcoming Olympus EP-1 price drop.”

Are they making “room” for the new Olympus MFT?

Anyway coming back to the reality no price-drop has been noticed yet! Not in Amazon, Adorama or BHphoto.

It is the first time I see the silver Olympus E-P1 (Body Only) in stock at amazon US. I thought it could interest all of you who still preferr the over the but needs Panasonic and not Olympus lenses. For example you can combine the E-P1 with the awesome . This combination allows you to have stabilized images ( that is not possible to have it with the ).

This is the first commercial I have seen that has been shot with the Olympus .
Tobias (the director) wrote me following email:
