Olympus 75mm
ePhotozine posted a new Olympus 75mm f/1.8 hands-on. Still no full review :(

    @Admin: Typo Alert!
Should be 220 Euro LESS than in other stores!

  • Bob B.

Oly 75mm f/1.8 ….would like to see IMAGE SAMPLES! :-)

  • DP

That is a seriously great video. Thanks for that!

…Except that I’d just talked myself out of the lens :o

    • Farrukh

+1 This is by far my favourite video by Seb, very well done to him. Watched it twice and I’ll be sure to share this!

  • Yun

How could review so slow in this 75mm F1.8 ?
Didn’t Oly sent out samples for experts to test ?

  • Max

When ephotozine say ‘hands on’ they really mean it…

  • Mark Patterson

    What camera(s) was Seb using?

    • Bronica

      Lumix GH2

  • Mr. Reeee

    Wow! Fantastic!
    Seb does it again!

@DP… I did the same thing. The 17.5mm is back in the running!

  • 43shot

Well executed, very nice. Great job!

    • Brod1er

Surprised the Eminem track was out of sync though. Bjork was spot on.

      • Well I sync with the live sound, some of the protagonist were out of sync ;)

        • Brod1er

I see what you did there!
PS Thanks Seb for taking the time to respond to comments about your work. A nice touch.

  • itunes playlist

why why why make advert for selling a lens with music from itunes playlist? come on this is just super lazy. pay a musician or get a sound guy to collaborate to get better location sound. then make some proper credits for the people that perform. it is just hard to watch this lazy itunes playlist editing. esp since he probably did not license or pay those musicians for their works. photographers complain about this all the time and then here everyone is heaping praises on the guy for making covert adverts for a lens. come on! you need a better business model where more artists are paid and you can respect their work.

DON’T be lazy!! Even if just pixel peeping!

    • Max Naglazas

seemed to me he was syncing up the performances to the original works. we don’t all have sound guys on hand. it’s a brief internet video. not trying to be the m43 version of Francis Ford.

    • @iTunes playlist : answer below

    • 43shot

Did you watch it? It was clear why.

    • avds

Yeah, indeed, Seb’s videos are usually so cool I can’t help thinking “dear God, if ONLY I had that lens!” :)

The coolest part though is that AFAIK he’s doing it just for fun :)

  • ab

I am looking at the Admins posts on shipping with baited breath :) Cant wait to get my call from my Henry’s

    • @iTunes playlist : You’re right in a way BUT if you have really watched the video you will see that I use theses 3 lasts musics because they were in the “karaoké” sequences, where people play and sing these songs. I’m also not making “an advert” to sell the lens, I don’t earn money on it, it is a , and I will use original music on real project with real funding. Peace.

    • XXX is boring

sebrarges don’t be upset by some comments just meant to be mean. Your video is so great!! By far the best I have seen for this lens.

  • Berni

    Super cool vid, loved it.

  • i could live with both lenses, great video btw.

  • The Nokton 17,5mm f0.95 is actually 1139 Euro
979 Euro is without TAX (only for outside Europe.

    • Brod1er

DOH!!! isn’t there reduced tax on MF lenses?! ;-)

  • Starred

There is an embargo on pics from the 75/1.8:

  • Dee

Random question for em5 users. How do you shoot at full
Hd at 60fps. I can’t see to find the setting to set it to 60.

  • Mike Fix

I hope that vignette in the video is from a filter and not the lens.

  • Viktor

  • Viktor

To E-M5 folks considering the Noktons. You won’t have IBIS when shooting video.

    • Brod1er

Why have they disabled IBIS in this circumstance?

    • reviews say you do…?!

    • Brad H.

Uhh, wut? Say it ain’t so?

  • There is NO IBIS with manual lenses in VIDEO Mode
In PHOTO mode there is IBIS with manual lenses where you can set the focal length.

  • i liked the way this was edited together. Great footage and very nicely done. Was this hand-held or with something like a merlin steadicam?

    • Thanks John, everything was hand-held.

  • Martin

    excellent video

  • stonebat

I like multi-camera like capturing and editing. Nice footwork ;)
