Cosina announce new F and K mount adapter for MFT.

Cosina has today announced Voigtländer-branded adapters to connect F and K mount lenses with Micro Four Thirds camera bodies. The adapters are designed for Voigtländer and Carl Zeiss lenses with Nikon F or Pentax K mounts. They provide only a mechanical connection between the lens and body so only lenses with a manual aperture ring will be compatible. (source cosina japan)

MicroFourThirds lens polls closed. Results.

Panasonic-G1-lens-mount-375

We closed the latest MicroFourThirds zoom lens poll and it is time to make a serious summary.

Prime lenses poll (click here to see the final results):
The three most voted prime lenses have been the 25mm f/1.4 or faster (42%, 772 Votes) the 12mm f/2.8 or above (tiny lens) (27%, 498 Votes) and the 17mm f/1.4 (26%, 475 Votes).

If you group the lenses by focal lenght we have the 25mm (982 votes) the 12mm (823 votes) and the 17mm (475 votes) as most voted focal lenghts.

Some considerations,

it seems people needs fast lenses. An exception is the 12mm 2.8 lens which should be a perfect portable landscape photography lens. In summary wide to normal lenses are the most requested lenses.

a little bit of everything…

7-12-09finepixreal3d
Fuji wants to open a completely new market with the Fujifilm’s FinePix Real 3D camera. It will be launched in September and cost around $600. I am curious to see the first images made with that camera. Do you want to know how you have to print the images made with that camera? Read more at engadget!

Alberto from the e-p1.net forum tried out the 35mm, 50mm and 90mm Leica lenses on the E-P1. Take a look at the results!

In case you missed it, the Samsung NX camera that is supposed to be the first Panasonic GH1 concurrent will probably be announced in November.

That’s all for now!

daily deals…

If you don’t need the video features of the GH1 be smart and buy the G1. It costs you far less and the image quality is more or less the same as the GH1. Amazon.com is selling the blue Panasonic G1 with 14-45 mm lens and the red Panasonic G1 with 14-45 mm lens with heavy discount.

If you are looking for small sized lenses a good option is the classic FourThirds Olympus 25mm f/2.8 Pancake Lens. You have to use the adapter ring!
The Panasonic 45-200mm f/4.0-5.6 is the only MicroFourThirds cheap tele zoom lens available to date. It is a good lens for his price!

I found ONE single Fotodiox Olympus OM – OM 4/3 Adapter for my old E-420.

Having some M-mount lenses I seeked Novoflex Adapters:

Amazon Germany has finally the full range of Novoflex Adapter. In Amazon US I only found the Novoflex Adapter to Mount Leica M Lenses on a Micro Four Thirds. And amazon UK has only two Novoflex adapters.
