Olympus gains market share in Japan.

Mirrorless shares in Japan during the last 12 months. Source BCN, Graph Dicahub, via Mirrorlessrumors.

Japan is really a “different” market than Europe or North America. Here size really matters and therefore Mirrorless is having a huge success. And the last 12 months Olympus managed to increase their market share in the mirrorless segment to up to 25,7%. Panasonic also had a small growth to up to 11,8%. The surprise here is Sony that despite their big Full Frame camera launch lost 12% market share!

Would be nice to see such kind of data for Europe and North America too but sadly there is no such thing yet. All we can look at are the Amazon digital camera rankings (Click here). And DSLR still rules the world here…

Capion Studio:https://vimeo.com/117715659 s800 Evo Test Flight with the Zenmuse + Panasonic GH4. This slightly aging Hexacopter is still a real contender in the field of aerial platforms. The s800 Evo paired with the GH4 Zenmuse results in a rock solid unit that is just about up for any task. We took it around our neighborhood and here is the results. No warp stabilization has been applied.

Michael:I have done a spot of thinking and experimenting. Which has led to the death of the “flat” profile misconception. And the regaining of all the time wasted on fiddling with, and rendering of, technically inferior footage.
