Sergey:Just returned from Oympus OM-D E-M5 MarkII presentation and discovered that HLD-8 grip fits OM-D E-M10 – the only drawback is that it is about 5mm longer and to change the battery abd the card you have to remove the grip. Otherwise it works!

Andrzej:I just finish my short movie: https://vimeo.com/115816362. This movie was shoot on Panasonic gh4 and nikon Ai-s lenses.

Updated Micro Four Thirds lens catalog: Shows Olympus PRO and Schneider MFT lenses on schedule.

Bildschirmfoto 2015-03-03 um 19.27.56

A couple of days ago the Four Thirds Group updated their Lens Catalog (pdf file here). As you can see the 7-14mm and 8mm pro lenses are to be released this summer while the 300mm is coming after them in late 2015. The catalogue also shows the three Schneider MFT lenses but without to mention a specific release target.

Latest we heard about those Schneider lenses was back at Photokina. The 14mm f/2.0 should cost around 1200 Euro. But release time was still undefined because Schneider first has to produce more of their highly requested Cine lenses. But let’s hope those lenses will ship sometimes before the end of this year!

If you own (or will own soon) the new E-M5II than do not forget that there is a Olympus High Res Shot Raw File Photoshop Plug-in. You can download it here: support.olympus-imaging.com/hp1download/product/index.

In the meantime there is a new E-M5II review at Photographyblog:

In many ways the E-M5v Mark II out-performs the OM-D E-M1, most notably with it’s much more versatile tilting screen, better video options, improved image stabilisation, and the innovative and highly effective High resolution mode. Our main criticism of the Olympus OM-D E-M5 Mark II lies not with its performance, design or feature-set, but with its price.

New(?) Nocturnus 35mm and 50mm f/0.95 MFT lenses sell for $1,999.

This is one of the biggest bad jokes: The German company Meyer-Optik-Görlitz puts his logo on the [shoplink 37365 ebay]35mm f/0.95 MFT Zy Optics lens (here on eBay)[/shoplink] and asks triple…yes three times the price for the exactly same lens! Well, not exactly, marks are in blue and they add their log on it. They also write on their site that it’s “Made in Germany” but they specify that they by the best elements from around the world.

Please guys…don’t buy it!
