Yesterday we reported that BHphoto was offering a $500 trade in for the Panasonic GF2. But as our user noticed the maximum amount you could get in reality was $350. BHphoto made an unintentional mistake and sent us the following text:

Here is the list of the latest US deals:
– Back again, Fuji X100 preorders on Amazon (Click here). And it’s still hard to find it in Stock “This item is in high demand and supplies from the manufacturer are limited”
– There is one Four Thirds (I repeat Four Thirds! Not m43!) 25mm f/1.4 lens in Stock at Amazon (Click here) for $957.14 only ($140 discount).
– Panasonic 20mm lens is in Stock at Adorama (Click here) has them in Stock for the normal price, $399.
– The Olympus XZ-1 is in Stock for $453.88 at Amazon (Click here).
In one month Panasonic did announce the G3 the GF3 and the Leica 25mm lens. Time for a preorder status check!
The G3 should start worldwide shipment on June 17. The preorders are available in US at Amazon, Adorama and B&H. In Europe at Amazon.uk, Amazon.de, Amazon.fr, and worldwide on [shoplink 22077 ebay]eBay[/shoplink].
The only US store I found that is accepting preorders is Adorama (Click here). Be aware that when you search for the lens on Amazon (Click here) or BHphoto (Click here) you will find the bigger and older Four Thirds version not the new M43 lens!!! And on eBay there is only one reseller accepting preorders ([shoplink 23181 ebay]Click here[/shoplink]).
I checked the biggest European stores and there is no preorder option. Worldwide shipment should start in late July. As usual Asian countries will be the first to get the lens, than European, than Canadians and some months after US citizen ;)

There are unboxing pictures and full size image samples at omuser.com. On picture on top you can see the image comparison with the older [shoplink 16340 ebay]Four Thirds version[/shoplink]. The tester said the af is fast but not as HD fast. Motor sound is quiet, but still noticeable if you pay attention. One huge pro is incredible details even in low light.

It looks like Olympus Europe wants to get rid of all the E-P2 right before the new E-P3 announcement! There are eleven refurbished E-P2 cameras for sale on eBay:
During the last one and half year there have been only one single new lens for the Four Thirds system and it’s made by Samyang. The new 35mm f/1.4 is a bit difficult to find in store also because it’s available under different names (Samyang, Wallimex and Rokinon).
