So no one has this in stock to buy now right? I want one soooo bad :(

So wait, they finally acknowledged that they are shipping them as though we already didn’t know? lol. They are still out of stock, unfortunately. I still haven’t received one email notification from Amazon or B&H letting me know they are in stock.

it seems only the kits with the 14-140 lens is shipping, according to the people who are getting shipping confirmations.
i called adorama, my black 14-42 kit isn’t shipping until first week of January, and that’s not a guarantee.

I just got my black GH2 with 14-42 kit from Adorama. The autofocus is REALLY fast.

Amazon shipped my black 14-42 today and it is scheduled for delivery tomorrow with standard shipping. That’s some fast standard.
Mine is from a Sept. pre-order.

When did you order yours from Amazon?

      • jshaw6000

Nevermind, I just read that you preordered in September.

I wish there was some kind of editing system so I can edit that last comment. Maybe this site can adopt the Disqus commenting system???

I got my black 14-42 kit from Adorama today (was supposed to be yesterday but I had to change the shipping address) – pre-ordered on November 1st. Coupled with my 50mm Zeiss prime, this thing is just so beautiful.

  • I just decided to cancel my GH2 order and bought a GF1 and the olympus 9-18 mm. It came out to the same price. I’ll upgrade the body when they start making a high end out of metal.

  • I will order the silver model with 14-140 lens when it is in stock somewhere and ready to ship. The major snafu with that approach is that after months of Panasonic’s teasing and delays, there might be a better product with a better price.

If Apple took the Panasonic approach, they’d sell fewer products. The flash mob “here and now” spawns spontaneous spending. The wait, wait, and more wait allows competitors to ante up.

    Patience is a virtue.
