Can’t be real. Olympus cameras aren’t suitable for video, remember? Either someone’s lying or we’re all in overlapping coma dreams.

    • Olympus is still far far from ideal for video (especially if you live in a PAL country like myself), but what EOSHD has found is it has enough positive points to outweigh its serious drawbacks such that it can be a reasonable camera choice in a few limited filming situations.

  • Sorry about that Em, I redid the video (it turned out to be too dark and contrasty). Here’s the new link:

    • very nice clip Jon, makes me wanna visit Vietnam immediately.

@admin Any rumors of the impending super-telephoto lens from Olympus. Last I heard it was rumored to be 300mm F4. Is it still current?

    • admin

Coming at Photokina. No official specs yet :)

  • Andrew Reid actually using the OMD’s for videoclips is a nice contrast in the sea of complaining, especially since he knows what he is doing and admit the specs have limitations.

  • @Ulli Thanks so much!

  • The SLR Magic 17mm looks pretty good. It should be a nice, inexpensive alternative to the Voigtländer 17.5mm and with a lot more character and nicer rendering than the Oly 17mm.

So is this another re-branded Fujian lens?
