Thank you for your email.

Frame rate is pre-set and given by the file format  .MOV and there is no way to influence it.
As for today we have no info about upcoming firmware, but as we were said the movie issues has been mentioned.

Lee: “Not rumor but I just saw the news you have posted regarding EM1 long exposures, it happens to Panasonic GX1 as well, and those little speckles will be gone if the NR is turned on. I have written about similar issue sometimes ago in my blog –

No intention to drive traffic to my blog but would like to point out exact same issue I see happens to both GX1 and EM1, If the camera sensor has this problem, practically two things can’t be done – long exposure timelapse and startrails because you need to turn on NR and that breaks the interval.
Previously I have tested GF1 and this issue is unseen. I’m curious about GX7/GM1. By the way I don’t think Panasonic fixes the problem ;)“
