Yasuhara will make two more lenses for Micro Four Thirds!
The image on top shows a Yasuhara M-mount camera (Click hee to see camera and lenses on eBay).
Yesterday Yasuhara announced the new Nanoha macro lens for Micro Four Thirds. One of our Japanese readers wrote that nice and short history about the Yasuhara company:
“The company made film camera once in ’90′s. And the employee is only one (and he is the president:-) who can be seen on the article. The price (of the macro lens) is expected to be lower than 50,000 yen (450 Euro) and will be in the mass-production on late June (now development is in the final stage). It’s included with 5 dedicated target holders that is customizable in some degree (can be seen as pictures of a black plastic frame in the article) The lens has white LED light. The image circle is for APS-C, but there is no plan for DSLR, because the lens is designed specifically for mirrorless systems (short flange focal length). In the interview, Mr. Yasuhara seems to like mirrorless system very much. Beside this “Nanoha macro”, there will be two more lenses until march ’12. One is ordinary, but one is very extraordinary.
NANOHA – (nano – hu[t]) double meaning: nano-meter and leaves of greens, esp. rape blossoms’ ”

12 months ago |You mean mirror lock up…. m4/3 doesn’t have mirror. If shutter locked up your camera would have no exposure….

12 months ago |This is the kind of legitimate entrepreneur that I like. Someone who implements his own designs and can offer a unique product at a reasonable price. We need more like him and a little less of those Hong Kong shysters who re-label existing cctv lenses and then market them on ebay at ridiculous prices compared to what they should cost.

I hope that’s a translation error or a typo. Not sure I want to know what a rape blossom is, but I’m positive my wife wont be getting a box of those on Valentines Day!

12 months ago |As shown in admin’s link, there is a rape seed that’s used commercially to produce cooking oil. The plant’s name probably has nothing to do with the sexual assault useage that’s commonly understood.

12 months ago |Rape seed oil is commonly called canola oil, because the name rape is not a very household friendly name….
