Handheld… for 10 seconds! I wanted to test the performance of the stabilization of the EM-5 MkII with newest firmware. A Milky Way exposure (above Breaker Bay in Wellington, New Zealand) seemed a good torture test. Starting with the Olympus 8mm f/1.8 Fisheye at F/1.8 and ISO 2000, I exposed for 1 second – then 2, 4, 6 and finally 10 seconds. I was astounded at the results! This image was taken standing up, not braced in any way – and is sharp except near one edge. The stabilization and performance of my Olympus micro-4/3 gear continues to impress me!
