Intipata agricultural terraces overlooking the Urubamba River. Intipata means Sun Place. This site was first cleared in the 1940s, then allowed to be reclaimed by the jungle in order to protect several rare species of orchid. It has been re-cleared of vegetation in recent years and further excavations have uncovered several additional terraces and terrace houses. E-M1 MarkII, 7-14 f/2.8 at 11mm, 1/200s, f/5, ISO 800
