5 months ago |In this case…one lens is plastic (45mm) with “chrome” coating…the other one is metal (12mm)…the real deal and feel. One is made in China (plastic) and one is made in Japan, (metal..the $100 hood is metal, too…but that was made in China?). It would have been nice if there had been some kind of attempt to at least make the finishes look similar. I prefer the look of the finish on the 12mm…kind of textured.
I have both of these, highly recommend both and actually love the silver finishes…just because they are so different from all of the black ones…its nice to have variety..but then I have a white GF1..so maybe I have issues?

5 months ago |I have them both, ordered from Germany to Germany. They are quickly sold out but usually you will find some dealer that has them in stock under http://www.gh.de. Right now you can order both, even if the 45mm one would be shipped from Austria.

So they are avaiable in Germany for long time, but the demand is too high.

5 months ago |The 12 f2 price in Australia over the counter in a camera store is approximately $950-$1000! Snap focus or not it’s not gonna fly of the shelf for that price. The 45 lens is well priced though.
