US Price drops on the GH2 and 20mm pancake. Leica 25mm still missing…
Let’s start with the good news first. The must-have 20mm f/1.7 pancake lens got another price drop and is now in Stock for $342 only at Amazon (Click here). And the most featured of all Panasonic camera, the GH2, is now in Stock for $1389 via third party resellers on Amazon (Click here).
And now the bad news. The three biggest US stores still have no single Leica 25mm in Stock: Nor Amazon nor Adorama nor B&H.

9 months ago |The 20mm was at this price a long time ago already… (it spiked and went back down). Otherwise I would of hoped the price reduction indicates a future 20mm mkII with a fast & silent autofocus.

9 months ago |+1. I need a 20mm mk2 with silent and much faster focusing (never mind the silent bit, just give me faster focus) on my E-PL1. Or I can just upgrade to the E-P3 and the 20mm lens automatically gets mk2′ed. Or wait for the Pen Pro or the GF7 and get better sensor and built-in viewfinder as well.

(I placed the order 3 months ago on June 14, 2011.)
I’ll forward a copy of my Adorama notification to your gmail address so you’ll know its true.
Keep up the great work–Your sites are my first thing to read in the morning and the last at night

9 months ago |Why is always chseaper somewere else other than UK. It funny really since most of the stuff I bought for my camera came from abroad.
I bought a 32GB SDHC Sandisk 30MB’s Read / Write from Play.com and it was £50 cheaper than down the road. Paying for other peoples mistakes so it seems.

9 months ago |No disrespect admin but I dont find this very news worthy..a overpriced gh2 and a fluctuating price on the 20mm, the prices goes up and down all the time on the 20mm.

9 months ago |I am waiting for the new GF pro model to be bundled with the 25mm as it has been rumored a couple of times. Bring it on Panasonic!

9 months ago |What I’m worrying now is that even if Panasonic does make this GF7 camera and kit it with the Pana-Leica 25mm, the retail price will be something like USD1500. That’ll be realising a dream and busting that same dream in one go.

9 months ago |GF1 successor will probably also be bunded with 20mm 1.7 II HD. I’ll wait for that!

9 months ago |I picked up my 45mm f1.8 today from the store. I could have gotten it yesterday but my wife was on the phone and they weren’t able to notify me that the first batch of three had arrived.
All I can say is this lens is AWESOME. I have shot just a few pictures of my kids but I am super impressed. I am kind of allergic to soft photos and this lens is still nice and sharp – even wide open (all I have used it for so far).
The colour and bokeh remind me a lot of portraits taken with my adapted konica hexanon 50mm f1.7 – except for the fast and silent auto focus of course!
I played with the 12mm f2 lens in the store and was duly impressed – but despite this lens’ plastic construction it doesn’t feel like a cheap lens. I may be jumping the gun here but I think that someday Olympus fans will look back on this lens much like they do the zuiko 100mm f2.8 – a compact little gem of a lens with excellent image quality at an affordable price. I was concerned about the silver being too blingy but the coated front element and different silver tones and finishes make such a nice contrast to my black E-PL2 that I would choose a silver on again even if I had the option of black.
Hope you get yours soon,

9 months ago |Nice!! Chad where did you pick it up?! I ordered here in europe Amsterdam but not in stock yet!!.
I have the 12mm 2 which is really good but my only focal length so far. It’s tack sharp from 4 and useable at 2 Really a great lens i think. Really looking forward having the ability to go zoom and wide all in between i still have to use my legs.

9 months ago |I bought it at a store called Saneal Camera in Calgary Canada ($380). I guess it is kind of a unique situation – they claim that for some reason they usually get Olympus lenses before anyone else. I was also surprised that the price was not inflated over the msrp… something that usually seems to happen up here.
Congratulations on the 12mm. It is a beautiful lens and that snap focus is so cool. I really hope that Olypus is building a whole line of high quality lenses like that.
