US deals (E-P2 with flash deal, lens price drop and where is the Panasonic 20mm lens?)
You might have noticed that the popular Panasonic 20mm pancake is out of Stock in all biggest US stores: Amazon, Adorama, B&H, J&R. Can’t explain why! The upcoming 25mm f/1.4 Leica will certainly not replace that lens! Maybe Panasonic has some production issues?
While waiting for the new E-P3, US stores are running some deals on the “old” E-P2. At BHphoto (Click here) you can get the external flash for free when purchasing the E-P2 with lens. The total price is $653.
Also the GF2 is going to be replaced and that’s why there is a $100 instant rebate on the GF2+14-42mm kit at Amazon (Click here), BHphoto (Click here) and J&R (Click here).
There have been a sensible price drop on the Panasonic 100-300mm lens. You can get it for $521 at Amazon (Click here).
The Panasonic GH2 is in Stock at Adorama (Click here) and Amazon (Click here).
One more thing: It will take a very long time before to see the Fuji X100 in Stock in US and Europe. Dealers are telling me that they still have no 100% reliable info about when they will have it in Stock. You can preorder the cameras at Amazon (Click here) and J&R (Click here). And if you don’t care about the price you can get the X100 now on eBay (Click here).

3 years ago |Not sure where the 20mm is, but I bought one from B&H a week or two ago when you linked to it. They got a shipment, but it quickly sold out. It is truly a great lens. The new Leica will surely be better, but it will be bigger and more costly.

3 years ago |I ordered a “backordered” 20mm from Panasonic.com and I got it in about a week. That was a few weeks ago.
As of right now Panasonic still says it’s backordered but I say put in the order and see what happens. They don’t charge until it is fulfilled anyway so you can always cancel if you find it somewhere else first.
It’s a great lens.

They were also out of stock at Amazon.com and Adorama the last time I checked.
The super expensive lenses like the 45mm Leica and 8mm fisheye are in stock, and the 100-300mm too. The new 14mm seems to be widely available too, I’m not so sure that’s a very popular lens, as it’s not that fast, nor as good as the 20mm.
