    Wow, such a good deal

  • Fish

    That is a great deal.

  • Victor

That’s a rediculously good deal! Despite being just for the OM-D em-5, it still is an excellent deal nonetheless

  • Ross

The 45mm lens offer has been available for a month now for the lucky Poms. But in Australia, we’ve enjoyed better prices anyhow.

  • http://www.IzumisDiary.com Izumi

In their one hand they paint a lens black and charge an extra $300 and in their other hand they give away a $400 lens.
Olympus is as easy to understand as a computer-translated instruction book.

no way ,.is not fair,.when is happening in US

    • Ross

After the price rises in the US like Canon are doing. 😉 You’ve actually enjoyed the best prices there so I don’t think you have much to complain about.

  • micksh

What pens? It’s OM-D only promotion and you wrote about it a month ago. Pens are not eligible.

Even though you see pictures of Pens beside OM-D promotional picture, these are two different ads.

  • silv

this is so unfair why the hell olympus gives this kind of deals at UK only soo unfair olympus..

    • Oomph

Because we pay at least $1500 for the OM-D in the UK?

      • Vlad

Yeah, it’s not only you know. And we don’t get discounts.

      • silv

how about the refurbs at UK only? really.unfair..

For those in Australia and New Zealand, Olympus Australia current promotions November 1 2012 to January 31, 2013.
    http://www.olympus.com.au/Learn—Explore/Current-Promotions.aspx

    – 20% off selected m43 lenses. Good opportunity to get one of the pricier lenses like the 12, 75, 60 macro or 9-18. Brings it in line with grey import prices but with local warranty.

    – Bonus 15mm f/8.0 Body Cap Lens, leather camera strap and camera wrap with OM-D body or kit purchase.

    – Bonus Toshiba 8GB Flash AIR SD Card with PEN E-PL5 (body or kit) or E-PM2 (kit) purchase.

    • Anonymous

Sorry, should have wrote 20% off Cash Back. It’s not 20% off at Point of Sale.

    • Ross

With the RR price of the 60mm macro lens being $599 & cheaper at some places, to get $120 as cash back, it has to be a very good deal & one I’m not going to miss.

      • Anonymous

Also watch out for the 15% or 20% off digital cameras or storewide deals at the major electrical retailers and big city department stores too. They usually have high markups or charge at full RRP, but with 15-20% off, it can work out to be a good deal.

  • reuben

Are you sure, all the links only point to the offer being on the omd, there was s nothing about the PENs, specifically the link you gave only let’s you select the omd as the camera you are claiming for.

  • uk43fan

I had a look on the Olympus website and there is a PEN offer. You can get a free Portrait Zoom Lens for £99 if you buy it at the same time as the PEN instead of £349. What is that? Is it the 45mm? If so yippee! Plus you get the 15mm free – pretty good offer. Can someone confirm that this is right

    • Llamaman

In what way is a fixed focal length lens like the 45mm a “zoom”?

The free lens in this case is the 40-150. They’ve had this offer listed on the SRS Microsystems website for a couple of days (although on the front page it erroenously describes it as the 14-150 – now that would be a GREAT offer)

  • http://weitnahbei.de Jonathan

With Olympus much moreso than with Panasonic, as an early adopter you do get a feeling of having been ripped off a little every now and then…

  • Sunny

    You are wrong!
    It´s for the O-MD only.
It is NOT for the PENs!

  • Eude

It’s the 40-150 R lens you get in the £99 PEN deal, along with the Street Bag and an 8GB card.
They’re shipping a FlashAir Card with every PEN E-PL5 and E-PM2 too.
If you buy the PEN and the above boxed kit, you get the 15mm f8 “cookie lens” free too.

    Very good deal I reckon…

  • Dylthedog

    The PEN deal is:
Buy a new PEN (PM2 or PL5) and at the same time buy a special lens package and you get £250 off. The lens package that comes with the offer is this:

    http://www.parkcameras.com/24859/Olympus-Pen-Zoom-Kit-Silver–40-150mm—Street-Case-M—8GB-SD-Card-.html

    A bag, 40-150 zoom & 8GB memory card.

It’s not a cashback deal, they knock the money strait off. I know because I just ordered one! :) I cancelled my order at WEX as they don’t have the kit their.

Once I get it through the post I can claim my cookie lens…

  • Absoluutbeginner

By the way … for the Dutch readers who want to buy an Om-D there’s also an offer..
    See here : http://www.olympus.nl/site/nl/c/cameras_support/promotions/index.html

It’s a shame that there are no offers for users of the Olympus Camera’s and lenses .
I bought already 2 of the m4/3 camera’s and some lenses and even registered….. but no offers aftersale…… !
Even the booklet you had to buy !
    Shame on you Olympus !

  • Llamaman

Admin really needs to correct this misleading article – 9 hours and counting…

  • Absoluutbeginner

    Why misleading ????
Did you try to put a bet on one of the articles ???

I don’t like it any when someone says that i am misleading !
I would be the last person to do that.

    But explain ……
    Kind greets.

    • Salty

Article is titled ‘Free 45mm lens on every PEN’ but only the OM-D has a free 45mm 1.8

  • Llamaman

It’s an ebay auction. It is common to be immediately outbid by another bidder who was previously entered a maximum bid higher than yours. There’s nothing sinister about it.

  • Absoluutbeginner

    Thanks Salty …..

Anyone tried bidding/buying on the Olympusmarket yet !
    Positive results ?????

  • Nu

Can any one explain why there’s so many refurbished items from Olympus every 3 or 4 months? Even just released new products.
Panasonic doesn’t seem to have the same thing?
It just doesn’t leave me with the opinion of manufaturing quality. As I am considering buy some Olympus gear.

  • peevee

I hope this leads to even lower prices for the 48/1.8 on ebay.

  • http://www.flickr.com/photos/j-f_leguen/ JF

Why are there such good deals only in UK ??? (free grip, free lens, etc…) and why do we pay the most elsewhere in Europe ?

  • Llamaman

And still not corrected after 4 days. Gives a clear indication about how much admin cares about accuracy!
