I have both the Panny 20mm and the 14mm, and use an Olympus E-PL1.

The 14mm focusses way faster (and quieter), but I seem to have quite a bit of CA. Not sure if I got a lemon or something, cause every other review seems to say it's really good on that front.

Despite m4/3rds being a 'system', you'd probably find in most cases the Panasonic cameras work better with the Panasonic lenses and Olympus cameras with Olympus lenses.

I'm in the process of trying to convince my wife to let me get the 45mm f/1.8 for that very reason! :)

the 20mm is pretty much universally described as internal focusing:

http://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Panasonic_Lumix_20mm_lens

I suppose if you wanted to be pedantic, you could describe it as a rear focusing design, but then all lens movements are still taking place within the lens.

Focusing was fast on the G3 I had to test the lens with. i suppose performance may vary in this area depending on which MFT body you use.

All the best

I think it's interesting that they say the 20mm is internal focusing on the first line of the review. Did the reviewer even use this lens?

The 20mm focusses fast on my GH2, although not as fast as the 14-140mm. I've gotten some surprising shots just by hitting the shutter button by reflex and it kept up. In low light it's not very fast and will hunt a bit. AF+MF helps tremendously in those situations.

For me the 20mm's biggest advantage is the combination of size and IQ. If I'm ever forced to buy another kit lens, I'd certainly pick a 14mm over any 14-42mm zoom!
