Triple new Olympus firmware for the E-5, E-PL2 and XZ-1
Olympus just released the new firmware 1.1 for three cameras! Thise are the chnages for each camera:
E-5: Resolved issue of the LCD monitor color compensation being reset.
E-PL2: Changed default setting of Image Stabilizer (IS) to “On” when converter lens scene mode ([FISHEYE EFFECT], [ WIDE-ANGLE], and [ MACRO]) are selected.
XZ-1: Version 1.1 Resolved issue that occurred when the POWER button of the dedicated flash units was operated.

3 years ago |No kidding. I bought an XZ-1 and it was always stuck at 200 ISO when using auto. Figured Olympus would have fixed teh auto ISO issue with the first update. I eventually returned it because there was a huge dust speck within the lens.

Do not expect a P&S camera to get any new features with a f/w update.
Unfortunately only fools dream!

3 years ago |It’s a long-shot, but I hope Olympus will release a firmware update that will allow you to adjust (or turn off) noise reduction on JPEGs.
