The rumors we are working on…
During the last two weeks I didn’t post many rumors but I am currently working on some hot stuff:
1) Next Olympus FourThirds and MicroFourThirds PEN camera
2) Sigma MicroFourThirds lenses (Yes! can’t wait to know more about them!)
3) Fuji and Olympus partnership rumors (probably a new sensor?)
4) Panasonic GH2 and GF2 news
What I know for certain is that Sony and Samsung will bring some fire in the mirrorless market! Will tell you more about that soon!

1) In one year 85% of our FT5 rumors became true. Did you missed the G2 G10 E-PL1 E-P1 E-P2 leaks?
2) Sounds like you missed the post after the one you read. It corrected the rumor you are telling about.
3) If I don’t know anything…why are you still here on 43rumors???

Besides, I do not believe anymore in Fuji and I’m very pessimistic concerning their sensor technology as I don’t think they are able to combine definition and dynamic range…
Sigma? I hope it will be good lenses and not low-priced not qualitative lenses….

2 years ago |I’m a bit partial on Sigma lenses. They seem to have compelling features on paper, but usually the implementation is mediocre. Still, if Sigma joins the m4/3 game it will expand the range of the system and make it more concrete.
A Fuji sensor in an Olympus body sounds like exciting news, but I’m a bit doubtful.

2 years ago |I expect any Sigma lenses to be new designs. But they might be universal designs that can be adapted to the Samsung NX and the new Sony EVIL too. So that would mean APS-C image circle. Not ideal but better than full frame designs for sure.

2 years ago |Last news from my crystal ball: NO Fuji m4/3, it is not gonna happen! By the way I would buy a Pen with such a sensor the day after its release! (Hope never dies)
As a real supporter of 43rumors (I read the feed as soon as I wake up in morning and 100 times more during the day…) I would like more updates over the planned 100mm for 4/3 mount. It was inserted in the roadmap several years ago and we still not have a single clue.

First: I didn’t “told them to get out from this site“.
Second: OD said “You’ve just demonstrated you know a whole lot of nothing about nothing and your sources aren’t useful at all.” This is a general critic to all rumors. If you take one single wrong rumor to discredit all the work we do on rumors than you make propaganda, not criticism. That’s why I said “why are you still here on 43rumors???” Almost 90% of our FT5 rumors became true! Why not start with that?
Third: I post rumors with FT5 value when my best sources tell me something. In that case something happened taht I can’t fully explain you because of “security” reasons. I also posted a new rumor few days after which explains a little bit what is happening with FourThirds rumors.
Fourth: I am still convinced there are new entry level FourThirds cameras on the Olympus desk but I am not convinced that they will ever be launched

2 years ago |I have a question about the list of rumors you are working on: don’t you have any updates about 4/3 lenses?
I know that m4/3 brought a revolution in Olympus market and some priorities changed, but almost one year ago we had that FT4 rumor regarding 100mm and 3 more primes (http://43rumors.com/four-more-prime-lens-from-olympus/). I can understand that a change in strategy could make sources silent but it’s strange that we had no assurance over the argument (like: “primes are still there but you have to wait 24 months more”).
This is not a criticism, I just want to remind that m4/3 world is really nice but 4/3 supporters are still alive!
By the way, you are doing a great job: 99% of predictions are true, this is one of the most updates rumors-sites, and it is a good source for extra content too (reviews, adapters, accessories, …).

I am receiving very unreliable rumors about 4/3 now. I have now choosen to wait and not post anything. The 100mm lens was clearly on the Olympus official roadmap and the fact that they havn’t released it may be a proove that all those FourThirds primes and cameras I were talking about are on hold. I really wish I could know more

2 years ago |I think the K-7 and 7D raised the bar pretty high for Olympus. The K-7 is everything the E-3 should have been (minus the sensor) and for less money. The 7D is everything the E-4 needs to be and I am not sure Olympus can currently implement an AF system that can compete with the 7D.
I have to think Olympus would have introduced a new body by now if they could. The 7D and the K-7 have both been very strong in sales, and the K-7 has generated a lot of new Pentax users.

Olympus camera with Fuji sensor? That would be delicious. Hopefully it’s that E-3 successor we’re talking about. What happened to E-620 successor we’ve heard a while ago? BTW, if E-xx line is discontinued (which makes sense financially speaking), I would love to see the electronic level feature being trickled down to the E-xxx line. If E-5 became mirror-less, I don’t mind buying a E-650 with electronic level, as long as LCD has a higher resolution!

2 years ago |According to EOSHD, Fuji will make a Micro 4/3rds mount mirrorless HDSLR similar to the GH1. Kodak have also joined the consortium and will produce a smaller GF1 style camera with their own sensor. Sigma will provide lenses for now but for the future my sources say a Micro 4/3rds camera based on their Foveon sensor is in development. Sanyo has also joined the group, under owners Panasonic. Sanyo will manufacturer lower-end Micro 4/3rds mount interchangeable lens video cameras and camcorders.
