(FT 5) The Olympus MFT camera name
We knew the name since two months but we have an agreement with one of our sources to not reveal the name to soon. But now we can say you two little thing.
1) It will keep the E-nomenclature
2) The name is somehting like “E-xx” (instead of the xx there is a letter and a number)
The agreement waiting time will be over soon! 
P.S.: We googled for around the web for one month, nobody knows the name! Olympus is doing a very good job!

5 years ago |kinda getting sick of the half rumors you guys put out. if you know what the name is , either come out and say it or just wait until you are allowed to say it. stop messing with it just to get your site traffic up.

5 years ago |I understand what you are saying but I can’t help thinking that even the people who say “publish what you can say”, would not care that the camera name begins with an “E”
I just dont really see that as useful news and i dont think people would mind if you kept the first letter of the product name from for another few days until you can say the whole thing.
Dont get me wrong, i think you guys are doing a GREAT job with the site. But sometimes i do get frustrated with some of the posts. To me they really just come across as posts to try and bring traffic to the site.

And by the way…if you trust us, this post has been viewed by far less people than the posts with the teasers. In fact we loosed traffic by sharing this rumor today instead of waiting for a day without important events. Damn is it hard to make you ALL happy

5 years ago |I’m hoping Olympus will call it the Trip. That name is already well known and fondly remembered. Ant it is just right for a high quality, portable camera system.

5 years ago |“E-XX” is probably a factory code or prototype name for the new M4/3 camera, Olympus call E-3 as “E-P1″ before the official announcement of E-3.
