The fear is back: New GH3 delay in USA? X zoom deals.
BHphoto (Click here) just changed the status of the GH3 delivery from “January 30th” shipment to “backordered“. And our reader Josh just told us that “B&H said the GH3s are being being delayed again!“. Anyway, there is nothing official yet. But it’s annoying to get no clear feedback from Panasonic (or to be precise from the store managers selling the GH3).

Production is not delayed, they can’t make them fast enough!
I’m meeting with my friends in the Lumix team next week and I’ll post where to best look for GH3 bodies on SCBP.
Believe me I want one badly…Want one like a fat kid wants cake.

I just ordered one from an EU-seller, for a price of 750 EU.
However, just after placing the order the price has been bumped up to 950!

Panny can’t even get the GH3 to release properly & NOW their gonna manufacture lens for sport photographers??? Their priorities has shifted, to say the least.
Panny’s given up on m43 camera for consumers, since they can’t compete with oly or sony (using similar sensors).

5 months ago |It’s simple, gh3 is awesome and as soon as it is in stock it sells out. Simple to understand, if you catch the deal early you get the camera. I have mine since November, I didn’t wait three months to order it when it had already gone out of stock to then be complaining on sites and forums.

5 months ago |It’s not the world’s record for a delay. Black Magic wins that easily, GH3 second but probably tied with others. I’m ready to skip the GH3 and wait for NAB announcements. At this juncture GH3 is passé.

5 months ago |Don’t be discouraged just because B&H is delayed. It amazes me that, with release after release, people still sit and wait for B&H to get stock like they’re the only game in town. A couple of weeks ago I ordered the GH3 from Unique Photo and Samy’s Camera. A week and a half later, my camera arrived from Samy’s and I cancelled my Unique order.

5 months ago |I just wish they could tell us what’s going on. Keep us informed. Is their a problem with camera. Did they just not make enough. Are they sold out. Are they just trying to creat a more frantic need for it. I just might keep my GH2 till something else comes out so I don’t feel like I need to fight and try to get GH3. I Just want to go into a store and buy one for crying out loud.

5 months ago |I made a snide comment back in October about how based on recent history (Panasonic GH2, extra batteries, Nikon D800, Olympus EM5 and accessories/batteries), that we won’t see any GH3′s until January. (The common theme: camera manufacturers just can’t seem to deliver their high-end enthusiast cameras on time; there always seem to be delays, problems and their surprise at how much demand there is.) And a few people jumped down my throat for being so cynical.
Well, suck it! It isn’t November anymore!

5 months ago |BTW… Don’t just blame Pany here, people. After Olympus’s EM5 release, there were numerous delays and for about six months, you couldn’t even find a spare OEM battery for it.
These delays are common to Panasonic, Olympus, Nikon, Canon, and even Sony. I wish they would all just bloody f*ck off and announce release dates when they actually have ample product ready.

5 months ago |The current trend is for these companies to operate in Kickstarter mode. Pre-orders are actually start-up funds and if the makers accrue ample dough, they will make the products and ship them in a year or so. Meanwhile, Bloom et al get prototypes as promotional campaigns. Well, that’s how it seems companies operate these days. Bloom is so done with GH3. He and all the other moles are onto newer gadgets.

5 months ago |funny you should say that because I just sent mine back to panasonic to replace the viewfinder Ive had it for over a month. Stellar camera but after a friend of mine compared my EVF to the ones at CES I decided to get it replaced. I find it hilarious that he had to use it outspoken voice before he could get a manager to come over and show him some of the new Viewfinders. So now I await for it to be repaired (crosses fingers)

5 months ago |Yeah I just hate the idea of not knowing when it might arrive, should I wait for the GH3 or move on to just buying the 12-35mm lens for my GH2. But then at the time my lens comes the GH3 might be available leaving me with no more money for the GH3.

5 months ago |Someone at the Panasonic booth at CES told me it wouldn’t be until March, to when the production could keep up with the demand. I guess they really utilize JIT manufacturing at Panasonic. I believe the GH3 is made in Japan too?

5 months ago |Could it be that Panasonic’s actually struggling to get rid of moiré and they’re trying to find ways to do that, using different anti-aliasing filters and stuff?
Of course, this is more wishful thinking than anything, but I’m into the hopes of them realizing moiré is bad for business and they’re trying to seriously address it.
