(DEAL DEAD) GF3+14-42mm X lens for $349 on eBay!

Share
That is the hottest GF3 deal ever seen!  The GF3 with 14-42mm X pancake zoom lens sell for $349 on eBay US (Click here ->limited quantities only). The camera ships to US and Canada only. That’s $150 less than the same kit on Amazon (Click here) and even less than the single 14-42mm X lens only! The eBay store is actually the same of the GH2 $579  superdeal!

As European I am now 100% frustrated that you US guys can always enjoy deals like that. At Amazon Germany and Amazon UK the price is around 600 Euro!

Why do I torture myself by looking at this even though I know I’m in Europe? =(

    • CDMc

      +1

  • LJ

Thanks! Just ordered one. The great price seems too good to be true, but they have a 30-day money back return policy.

    • VJVIS

If you don’t want the regular kit lens, I would cancel the order, or at least double check. It sounded too good to be true since the x lens alone sells for US$399, so I contacted their rep and he said that it is the regular kit lens and NOT the “X” version.

  • kenw

No manufacturer warranty and the 14-42X has known problems, so maybe not the best way to purchase. Does say you can return within 30-days though…

  • VJVIS

It is not the X lens. It comes with the regular kit lens. Just spoke to their sales representative.

  • Ricksastro

This does NOT include the 14-42 X lens, only the older kit lens!!! Look at the specs of the kit lens. It’s a VERY misleading ad.

  • jerry

I just called customer service and they claim it IS the X lens. WTF?

    • http://www.43rumors.com/members/angry/ Angry Olympus Owner

You called and they said it was the X lens? I am confused

      • admin

Picture, description and title clearly says it is the X lens.

    • admin

      Good to hear!

      • safaridon

The eBay product description clearly states this to be the standard larger kit zoom lens. I think what is happening is people or outlets have bought the GF3X simply to get the lens and then detaching it and selling the GF3X body with old kit lens.

        • Steve

          That would make sense.

  • safaridon

I thought this bargain was too good to be true. But it wasn’t only the wrong picture that was posted but ebay advertised it as the GF3X which is the model with only the X lens attached. So maybe early comers will be entitled to get it and I am sure many will not be happy if they have to pay to post the package back!

  • Jeff

OH god! Thanks again!!! First the GH2 special around Xmas from Adorama now this GF3 you make me poor
BTW I called CSR and they also confirmed to me that it IS the Power lens!
Also the part# listed for the kit is for the power kit so there should be enough grounds to disbute the order? Though of cause if you were to return it you have to eat all the shipping cost which adds up to quite a bit, especially for me being up north :( so hoping it is the power zoom

  • Steve

If this isn’t for the X, then the add is really poor. The UPC and MPN and all other information in the listing are for the X (885170061705). The “what’s in the box” section even includes ◦Lumix G X Vario PZ 14-42mm f/3.5-5.6 Power O.I.S. Lens (Black).

  • Louis

The filter size on the listing shows 37mm, which is the x lens. I think this is an error in the posting.

  • jerry

    I called a 2nd time to confirm. They said it’s 100% the x lens.

  • Charlie

They said it wasn’t the X lens. :(

    • http://www.43rumors.com/members/angry/ Angry Olympus Owner

      who?

      • Charlie

        Them.

    • Adam

I also called and confirmed that it is the x pancake zoom. It also says so explicitly if you click on the “what’s in the box” tab.

But the deal is over, now. It’s up to $550. Not sure if they messed up or just wanted to move some stock fast, but I’m glad I got in under the wire.

  • 43shot

The description said X lens everywhere and it was pictured as well. If you get something else you can disputer the charge as it is clear misrepresentation if not.

  • Steve

Deal is DEAD now. Reposted with $549 price so looks like a pricing error.

    • http://www.ragtop.org Jeff

I almost bought one at $349, I’m still not sure if I should have or not. This whole thing is starting to look fishy.

  • Cedric L

    No more active!!
I try to jump on this, but it’s too late!!!
    A 2-3hours deal!

  • 43shot

Man, I would have jumped on it.!

  • twoomy

A 2-3 hours deal because they put up the wrong price by accident. They still sell it but for $200 more which is more reasonable, although warranty is extra.

Admin–You may be sick of me, but I question posts like this, aside from the fact that they generate revenue for you. Perhaps it would be best for you to change the title of this post at least since the deal was clearly a mistake?

    • 43shot

Please post these, if I kew earlier I would have bought one.

    • Charlie

Yeah, we certainly don’t want the Admin. working to save us money. 😐

  • Trevor

Maybe it’s already posted somewhere, but EM-5 low light shots are up on DPReview here: http://www.dpreview.com/news/2012/03/09/olympus-omd-em5-iso-series

This +1 was not for this post, but te one about posting deals… Because I want to see deals….

  • readerxyz

I called and was told that it’s the latest pancake lens. Hmmm…

For people in Norway, Denmark and Sweeden you can use http://www.jetcarrier.com/ . You Get a US po box address and stuff will be forwarded to you. Very reasonable priced! I’m sure similar services exists for other countries?

  • 43shooter

That’s an awesome deal if it comes with the x lens.

  • dong

THE EBAYER YOU ARE ALL TALKING ABOUT SELLS GRAY MARKET GOODS. I MADE THE MISTAKE OF BUYING A NIKON D7000 EARLIER THIS YEAR. TOTAL CRAP AND SCAM GAME. DON’T PLAY IT:-)

  • Jeff

You better not stop what you are doing!! LOL
Even if it costs me more than I budget 😉

  • Simon

At the Focus on Imaging show in Birminghsm this week, CameraWorld were selling this with the non-x lens for £199, which I thought was a hell of a deal

  • JimD

Deals like this are from the manufacturer not an individual store. The chosen store has to ensure that it is US only and will not accept payment from non US PayPay accounts.
If the Ad was wrong and the lens was the older one they Paypal would become involved and the store may be deleted from PayPal for ever.

    • 43shot

Besides that, if the product does not match the written description and you pay by CC on Paypal you can dispute the charge and keep the camera or they will have to correct the issue at their expense. If it does not state a USA warranty then it does not have to come with one. If it says X-lens included, etc you have full recourse. I do about 2K paypal transactions a year and your CC is your friend. Those that bought this and did not get an x lens should be covered well.

  • Jeff

Update: it arrived and it is the new power zoom!!!! Thanks again Maatt

  • jerry

Just received my shipment as well. Power ZOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOM! What a price.

  • 43shooter

I received the package today. It’s the X zoom pancake lens and the camera is brand new. I made some test shots and it’s spot on! WOW… I’m so glad that I pulled the trigger.
