4 years ago |“The absolutely perfect low-light lens”? A few months ago, no question. Now? Micro Four Thirds users, at least, need to be evaluating whether it’s more “perfect” than Panasonic’s 20mm f/1.7 — which isn’t much slower, isn’t much wider, is vastly more compact, seems to be a stellar performer, and is less than half the price.
I’d love to see a practical comparison between these two — including such factors as focusing speed.
Of course, what I’d love even more would be to see a wider selection of fixed-focal-length lenses for µ4/3 with apertures of f/2 or faster (hellooooo, Olympus, anybody home?!? And where are you, Mister Sigma?)
