well, production of the 25/095 is also putting the lens and barrel and mount in one piece. doesnt cosina make the lens? it doesnt make the nokton much beter…as long as i get an assembled lens im happy

Fine story as long as we understand that “production” means changing the mount and laser engraving their name on it, not lens-grinding.

Admin, could you not juxtapose Noktor and Nokton, please? Presumably Noktor was so named partly for its similarity to Nokton, and I think talking about these two very different quality companies might lead to some people confusing the two. Don’t do Noktor’s marketing for them!:-)

If you are headed in this direction…why wouldn’t you just pony up the cash and buy the Voigtlander Nokton 25mm f/0.95?
Maybe it is a video thing???? Or the 50mm focal length???? I don’t shoot video so I may be missing something here.
