SLRmagic announces (an expensive) 11mm f/1.4 Micro Four Thirds lens.
UPDATE: Sorry guys, I had the wrong links on the lens. If you click now you will land on the correct ebay page. Thanks!
SLRmagic announced a new 11mm f/1.4 wide angle lens with Micro Four Thirds mount. But there is a big disappointment. The price is incredibly high…$210!!! It would be a fair price if the lens would have at least a decent optical performance. But from the first images we have seen on eBay (Click here) we can see heavy vignetting and unsharp results.
If you really need a fast wide angle lens get the Computar 12.5mm F1.3 which is much cheaper (Read the review at EosHD).

3 years ago |Hey, $210 is quite cheap for such a lense

3 years ago |image circle looks pretty large for a $210 lens. The SWITAR 10mm i bought for $700 has worse vignetting than this lens

3 years ago |*sigh* What a rip off! No doubt this is another lens that can be found for £15 or less on ebay if you just buy the non SLRmagic version and use your own adapter.
Miroslav
3 years ago |Yeah, rip off. This is not 11mm at all. Not on m4/3 cameras.
Andrew
3 years ago |it should become a 22mm on m4/3 cameras with 2x crop sensor
Miroslav
3 years ago |You know what I meant. You can get that kind of image by putting a circular uncorrected image of any m4/3 kit zoom (taken at 14mm) onto a black background in Photoshop. I can only imagine the kind of vignetting this lens has at F1.4 – note that all the samples are taken at F4 and smaller.

3 years ago |haha funny…i dont think any lens for m4/3 is as advertised unless oly/panna gives us a FF m4/3. But if we get a FF m4/3 we probably need to get our lens all over agian

3 years ago |Where can I find it on ebay?
Mr Hipsta
3 years ago |The lens construction is obviously not made for m43; what you see is not vignetting but an image circle that is not large enough for the sensor. That the lens has an m43 mount does not imply that it is designed for the system.

3 years ago |might as well use a wide angle converter..

3 years ago |It’s just a cctv lens with a native M43 mount fitted. You can buy all of their lenses for about $15-20 instead of $100+ if you look on ebay, usually branded fujian. I have the 35mm and the 24/25mm and they cost me peanuts. Just buy a dirt cheap C-mount to M43 adapter.

3 years ago |Hints: Cosmicar 12.5mm f/1.4 has the same performance and effect as this lens.
Some is really dirt cheap, if you can accept this kind of features.
But you should find somebody to help trimming the back of the lens because the diameter is too large to fit into the C mount adapter.
I can definitely tell you, there is no such kind of lens with such focal length.
They just try to confuse you for its so called uniqueness. Usually, the CCTV might be made as 6mm, 8mm, 10mm, 12.5mm, 16mm, etc. But you should never find one made as 11mm. By the way, you have no equipment to measure the accurate viewing angle of this lens. It can be claimed 8mm or 10mm or 12mm either…
Again, another joke.
