2 years ago |You made a mistake, the 100-300 is not 350$ but 550$. I almost got a heart attack
As usual, here in Germany the $ is directly transferred to euro. It’s 530 euro here at amazon…
Therefore we have 9 GH2 in stock at amazon.de

2 years ago |Admin, while I truly appreciate the heads-up on the GH2, Adorama does not have them in stock. I’m not sure why the website occasionally shows them in stock, and then back out of stock. Either it is a glitch, or their way of tricking people into backordering, not sure. However, I ordered the second it showed in stock, and order went through. I called later to check on it, and the guy on phone said they have not gotten any since Dec 15th and currently have 98 cameras on backorder and they will ship in order received. So, for now, I would ignore when Amazon shows Adorama has them, or Adorama website shows it has them. (or the guy on phone told me wrong).
This is getting frustrating… The rest of world has them, but not in US?

2 years ago |They did this to me too. I ordered the last time they said they had the GH2 black and 14-140mm in stock, and got an e-mail saying they were out of stock. I wrote back and said I wanted to cancel, and the rep said that it was a bug in the system, and that it was in stock and they were going to ship it out. Well after two weeks of waiting, I got fed up and canceled. When I emailed them, they said they had no ETA of when it would ship out. How can you not have an ETA of when an item in stock will ship out?

2 years ago |I received my black GH2 from Adorama last week. When I ordered back in Dec, it was shown as “in stock”, but after I placed my order, I found out that I was actually on the backorder list. I decided to stay on the list since I had nothing better to do and three weeks later it arrived.
Adorama is probably getting a steady stream of them, but they are getting gobbled up by backorder requests. Their site may be accidentally showing availability temporarily when those are actually going to the backorder people.
(and I LOVE LOVE LOVE it

2 years ago |They are NOT in stock at Adorama. I placed an order as soon at this story went up and got an email today that they are on back order.
I also placed an order at Amazon and my order says “This portion of your order is being prepared for shipment and cannot be canceled or changed.” and the estimated delivery date is Jan 20th-21st so there is hope there but Amazon is show them on backorder now.

2 years ago |For the first time I saw a used GH2 for sale on Craigslist at a used price. Obviously gone by now, but a bit surprising.

BTW four by six – the rep you spoke to on the ‘phone, DID have it wrong. We’ve been getting deliveries, but they are all filling back orders. (He may have meant that with the Dec 15th delivery we filled all b/o at that time – but since then we’ve received many more)
Jacob: don’t know for sure, but if you imagine that the rep is seeing on his screen that we have them in stock (because they’ve just been delivered), but can’t see how many we have on b/o he won’t know whether your order can be fulfilled from that delivery
When a delivery arrives the units are booked in, so the website will show the units as being in stock. Anyone who places an order at this time will receive an automated confirmation that the order has been received.
However, when an item is heavily back-ordered (because we don’t charge until an
order actually ships), all the back-orders have to be filled first, and the
units are removed from the shelves by our warehouse team, and packaged for shipping.
At the exact moment that the final back-ordered unit is removed from stock, any customers with unfulfilled orders will receive an automated email indicating that the unit is on back order.
Our website does not update in real time, to allow for order cancellations – the bulk of which typically occur within the first 30 – 45 minutes of placing an order eg because a customer has had a change of heart, or because his wife walks into the room at the exact moment that he places his order………
This explains why, when you place an order, it could appear from the site that there are still units in stock – when in fact they have already been allocated to customers who placed their orders during the previous week or two.
We operate a very strict procedure which ensures that orders are fulfilled in the order in which they are received.
Knowing how heavily back-ordered new releases can be,(and that I don’t think any manufacturer ever sends sufficient units to fulfil all of a retailer’s back orders immediately, pre-ordering is the most reliable way to ensure that you are in line for early allocation.
Remember, Adorama does NOT charge your cc until we actually ship your order. So you can order with confidence – and if you find the item somewhere else sooner, a quick call to our friendly CS team, or an email to me: helen.oster@adoramacamera.com, and your order can be cancelled immediately!
I hope this helps, but do email me directly if you need clarification (or help with anything else).
