Save $110 on the GX1 with 14-42mm X lens.

Top rated seller Kenmorecamera is selling four brand new SIlver GX1 with 14-42mm X pancake zoom for $549 on eBay (Click here). That’s $110 less than the current price at Amazon. Just a reminder, the rumored GX2 has been likely delayed until 2013.

Shame this camera is so overlooked. Except GH series, its best thing Panny made for m4/3s.

That’s not a bad deal, but meh, times have changed. What I want now, is a XE-1, with GH3 focus speed and a swivel screen. So, I guess I’ll wait, after all, it’s only been ten or twelve years wait, what’s another year or two, unless of course it all ends next month, then my life will have been unfulfilled in the digital camera dept.

The more I think about it the less I think Panasonic isn’t releasing a GX2 before christmas. With the E-pl5 and E-pm2 Panasonic doesn’t have a single competitive small camera in their current lineup..

I think their competitive strategy is pricing ! They lower the price not because the GX2 is eminent, but as a competitive strategy on itself.

The GX1 is a decent camera and by lowering its price so much (or even more) it is much more attractive to a larger market.

GX2 is another Pana’s top gun to compete in the rangefinder sections so can’t take it lightly .
GX line is a good idea , I believe everybody love it so a proper planning is a must .
A breakthrough in everything to remain relevant is inevitable . I prefer it to be delayed if there are latest technologies to be featured in this little gem .

This website had been offline/inaccessible for me(S.E. Asia) the whole weekend. What was the problem?

It was a “website is taking too long to connect” error. You may want to check your blog server error log, may be a selective server DOS restriction by region? Your facebook and twitter sites were OK, anyway it is back to normal now.

Panasonic very much killed this segment by releasing too many crap “updates” to the GF1, the GF1 was almost perfect, but then GF2/3/5/ bored people to death. Now they try to go back to the GF1 feel with the GX series. Grow up Panny.

I wonder why we haven’t seen any G5 with the 14-42X deals, since it’s the only camera out that has the zoom switch built into the camera. What a waste.
