Samyang (or Rokinon) Four Thirds 35mm f/1.4 in Stock!

During the last one and half year there have been only one single new lens for the Four Thirds system and it’s made by Samyang. The new 35mm f/1.4 is a bit difficult to find in store also because it’s available under different names (Samyang, Wallimex and Rokinon). There are now two items in Stock at Amazon (Click here) and BHphoto (Click here). Some lenses are also available on eBay (Click here). I didn’t find the lens in Europe or Asia. But you might search for them on eBay or other stores because Samyang lenses are available worldwide in seven different brand names!!! Click on it to see all Four Thirds lenses from the specific brand (links to ebay):

12 months ago |Who cares about 4/3? Seriously. Especially a HUGE lens like that?
Besides, who ever even heard of Samyang?
You took the words out of my mouth.
The Voightländer 35mm is next on my list! (he Nokton 25mm arrives in early July!!!!!)

12 months ago |You might be better off buying the Nikon mount version and using a cheap Nikon-4/3 adapter (you can even get focus confirmation that way if you want–not sure how well it works). In fact, looking at the B&H one, it says format is 4/3 and Nikon fx. Makes you wonder if this just comes with the adapter attached.

12 months ago |hmmm….manual everything i assume.–manual focus, manual aperture ring, no zoomed in focus assist feature with camera. I wonder if the Sigma 30mm 1.4 would be a better option.

12 months ago |Maybe it’s an unfair opinion, but I’m leary of any product that is sold under 7 different brand names.

If you can handle manual focus, Samyang’s primes are among the best values for any system, and here’s your µ4/3 portrait lens that neither Panasonic nor Olympus seem interested in making.

I used my friend’s samyang on a canon (7d), and its Better than almost every other lens out there. I believe, anyone who dismisses something, should first gets some hands-on experience, and, then, express an opinion.
also, for video the Samyang, is very good, in-terms of sharpness. also, i guess only dilettantes use auto control, for shooting video. cause the camera’s judgment is NOWHERE near that of the human eye.
