Samsung NX10 tested by dpreview and compared with the Panasonic GF1.

The new Samsung NX10 review is available here: http://www.dpreview.com/reviews/samsungnx10/
Key informations:
- The Samsung 30mm pancake is almost as good as the Panasonic 20mm
- Samsung NX10 and Panasonic GF1 jpeg comparison shows that the GF1 has the “lightest anti-aliasing filter“.
- In RAW the GF1 is “slightly out-resolving the Samsung”
- Overall score is the same as the GF1 (Click here to read the GF1 dpreview conclusions: http://www.dpreview.com/reviews/PanasonicGF1/page33.asp

4 years ago |Looking at both NX10 and GF1 tests, I do not have the same appreciation :
- IQ looks simply better (not slightly) with GF1 than with NX10, even in JPEG
- Performance of autofocus looks also better (0.7 0.8 / 1.0 1.1) which is not being reported
Makes me think about previous article suspecting DP smoothening its consclusions about majors ?
However, congratulations for your enthousiastic rumors site

4 years ago |Well, it looks like there isn’t a great deal of difference between the APSC crowd and m43 sensors at the moment. Comes down to lenses, viewfinders and ergonomics more than image quality, which is very much a personal choice. Great! Isn’t that what we want, a level playing field with plenty of choice?
Until someone brings out a revolutionary sensor, or the “mythical” global shutter………

4 years ago |Frankly speaking, I am not against the image quality of Samsung. What I want to comment is that, APS-C does have marginal advantage over M4/3 sensor, but I did not see its performance much different, when I can retrieve even higher resolution (non-aliasing) of image from Panasonic RAW than Canon or Nikon APS-C sensor. APS-C has a bit of advantage over M4/3 in terms of high-ISO noise, but except RAW, I don’t see much difference in JPEG, due to the different settings of noise vs noise reduction settings.

4 years ago |If Samsung just puts the EX1 amoled in the NX-10 and moves the EVF on-off sensor the NX would be smaller.

well canon 550D (a full-fledged dslr, same with D5000) is there and its obvious the advantage is not that noticeable. at iso3200 even, the GF-1 kept the most detail though quite grainy.
point here is there is no significant advantage that the apsc crowd has always been shoving to m43rds face (especially with samsung’s marketing). slight advantage is the better word

4 years ago |Too many little shortcomings – that’s NX10 out of the way. We will see what those upcoming models bring, but for now any of the current m43 cameras is the better option.
