Sell the crappy kit-zoom and it’s a steal.
Sounds like a plan….

11 months ago |What an idiotic statement from you. None of these cameras are obsolete. You are obviously no photographer.
Oh, and yes, I also happen to own the E-M5.

11 months ago |Oh….I just noticed that it comes with the kit lens, too!!!….I paid $700 for the body only…This is an amazing deal!

11 months ago |WHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH!!!! Only 6 months after I bought mine for $700! LOL!
I really like the camera…a lot of people complain about it isn’t this…it isn’t that. Its small…versatile, has great buttons, is MORE customizable and user friendly than the OM-D. It’s a GREAT camera.
I have the OM-D…and I usually sell off my old cameras immediately…but I can’t let this one go. It is so simple and fun…I still reach for it a lot…and that is considering I have an OM-D and 5D Mark III to reach for too.
I think it is a steal at that price!

11 months ago |Those looking for GH5, PEN EP3, EPL-3 might as well get the GX1 at $469.

11 months ago |The GX1 is a nice camera. Panasonic will probably get ibis as soon Canon and Nikon gets it. Ibis is probably nice when using a unstabilized lens, but I do prefer stabilisation in the lens itself.

11 months ago |Well Im thinking it will be announced at Photokina at the latest.. They said the gx1 was made at the same time the gf3 but held back, so that could mean it’s ready sitting in the wings somewhere..

11 months ago |The GX1 looked like a very nice camera, I suspect that it just suffered from bad timing of when it was released. On sale from $800 to $469?? Ouch.

11 months ago |Agreed.
I dropped my gx-1 and broke it..
But I must say Im really curious about the GX-2. Wonder wonder what upgrades may be in the pipeline. Likely they have noted the wish for a built-in viewfinder..

11 months ago |Under $500 for a GX1 is a pretty good deal. If I could get one for close to $400 or below, I’d pick one up. It’s a nice camera, nice sensor.

11 months ago |These cameras are obsolete they can’t compete with the OM-D.
They have no choice but to lower the price.
When Panasonic releases a camera with IBIS that can compete with the OM-D then perhaps they can justify higher prices. Once you see the steady-cam like performance of the OM-D, the jello shake video of the Panasonic models just doesn’t compare.

Tempting. VERY Tempting.
