2 years ago |As you see you can signup to be notified when they have the GF2 available for preorder. I thought this would interest those of you that want the camera.
P.S.: Theoretically it would be better for me to not promote that “Sign up” because I am not earning money with it. People will preorder the camera when they get notified without using my links. It would be much better for me to link to it when there is a preorder.

2 years ago |Even if it were available for pre-order I would recommend against it. They took “pre-orders” for the GH2 kits for over a month and just outright canceled them with no explanation. Even the black GH2 kits don’t come up in Amazon search results now. Amazon is as transparent as a brick.

2 years ago |Available also on B&H. Interesting part is that B&H has a body only option (I still think this camera is too expensive to be worth, not to mention the lack of 20mm kit lens)

2 years ago |I receive notice from Amazon that my GH2 would be shipped between Nov. 26 and Dec. 30. Pretty vague but I hope that is still the case.

2 years ago |Wow, the GH2 prospects transcended from promising to uncertain. Well, it seems like it’s a one-of-a-kind camera for now, and a lot of us will have to wait. Perhaps a big mistake for those who are impatient is to buy a Canon 60D or T2i and feel real bad later, given their shortcomings when paired against the GH2. Hang in there!

2 years ago |Ah man, at first glance, i’m really disappointed with the looks of the GF2. The GF1 is a much classier looking design. This just looks…. cheap. I’ll have to take a closer look at the features, but.. damn. Just really disappointing design. I’d rather have seen a swivel screen. And they did away with the knob control for touch screen? I disapprove.

The page doesn’t let you preorder—only sign up for notification of when it’s available. Looks like they’re just not accepting orders for it at this time.

2 years ago |I ordered the GH2 the minute the preorder option came up on Amazon, and have an estimated shipping of Nov 22 from Amazon. Looks like they’re only going to get a few cameras per week to ship to customers. Kudos to Amazon for providing true first-come-first-serve.

2 years ago |As I wrote, shipping date likely depends on the exact time it was ordered. If you didn’t order in the first couple of minutes it came online on Amazon, chances are you got a later shipping date. Has nothing to do with the lenses, as these are widely available.

2 years ago |@HMR- I ordered the 14-140 lens option at the end of September and received the same shipping news as you. It’s going to be a long seven weeks. Because of the the recent cancellations of other pre-orders, I’m half expecting to see mine cancelled as well.

2 years ago |yeah, placed a pre-order with adorama back in October, about 2 weeks ago. Called this past Monday, they told me Nov 18-20 ship date. I called today again to check on any new info – this time customer service tells me there is no ETA on the GH2 arriving at Adorama’s doorstep. Panny is choosing to not release an ETA to them. Too bad, I may have to cancel this pre-order and rent a camera for this gig coming up…
