Panasonic GF1 vs Sony NEX5 autofocus speed test
Probably they are testing a preproduction version of the $loc = $_SESSION['geoip'];

if ($loc == 'DE')
{ $sel = "1"; ?>Amazon Deutschland }
if ($sel != '1')

I am a MFT user, BTW, so my bias should be slanted her way as well; especially considering how much I have invested in the system. But this is blatantly deceptive testing. Silly.

2 years ago |I agree with Gabriel. They’re both close enough that only sports people would care. In that case, I’m 99% sure they’d reach for their “real” dSLR’s (7D, D700, etc) for sports anyway.

2 years ago |rUY, it’s precisely the electronics manufacturers that should have the edge in AF speed, as today’s cameras are largely driven by, well, electronics. It’s in the glass that traditional camera makers have the edge, and which is why Sony had to get help from Zeiss for their premium glass.
No shame for Olympus really. They’re getting there, as evidenced by the recent firmware update for the Pens, but I’m guessing the electronic powerhouses will likely have the AF edge for the most part because their engineers are wired for precisely that kind of algorithm creation.
