One of our readers also sent us an info where he says that also in Japan the price dropped to 48,500 yen (about $570 USD). Plz send me the link to the store 
I didn’t find any big price drop in Europe 
UPDATE: A very good deal in Holland. 599 Euro for the GF1 with 14-45mm lens at Fotoquelle.nl

3 years ago |This is a good indication that the GF1 replacement(Yes I still think the GF2 will replace the GF1) will be much cheaper than the GF1′s original $900 price tag.
I would expect the GF2 to come in at about $650 and I think the GH2 will shock everyone at about $1000.

All of the really low prices are from retailers that don’t really have physical stores and just sell online (although you can walk into some of them and buy directly–they’re basically just warehouses with a single counter for customers). Basically the Amazon model.
The lowest price I see on there from a big box store is 57,800 at Bic Camera and Yamada Denki.
