2 years ago |Based on the Dkamera.de tests, I actually prefer the G1 RAW output to that of the G2. I think they cranked up the processing a bit too much on the G2 in order to add that extra stop. The G1 is sharper and shows more dynamic range over the G2 for the same settings.

2 years ago |It looks to me as if the pictures have been processed differently, the G1 Raw images having more softness and less noise, indicating a stronger noise reduction by default, but if the processing had been the same, I suspect the resulting images would have been hard to distinguish – and that’s at pixel-peeping level.
It is therefore the G1 that is cranked up, not the G2.
