Panasonic announces the new Panasonic FZ47 (FZ48) and the LS5 budget camera.
It’s not a Micro Four Thirds camera but some of you might be interested to see what kind of improvements the new FZ47/FZ48 has.

11 months ago |I think admin does a wonderful job of keeping us informed of what other cameras are about…… No one complained when the Oly compact XZ1 was featured …. or the sony’s or the pentax Q. I trust admins judgement. It is his site and he “Does” get to decide what goes here. If you don’t want to hear about it move on and keep it to yourself. We’re not contributing members were guests.

11 months ago |Latest models had worse sensors, in comparison with the others manufacturers.
This one has finally sensor with lower megapixel count.
But except “nano surface coating” I did not find (in a quick view) a technology which can be used in m43 models.
Is “nano surface coating” already used in some lenses?

Checking several times every day to see news of this one to decide between GF Pro or G3

11 months ago |“Nano surface coating” is applied to the Panasonic/Leica 25mm Summilux – see the link to the review. I don’t know about other existing lenses, but it seems likely that it will become fairly standard for Panasonic lenses from now on.

11 months ago |I had the first in this line, the FZ20. An excellent camera with an excellent Leica super-zoom. However, as with all smaller sensors, it was quite limited in low light. Low-light imagery from MFT is much superior. Expect the GH3 to be packed into the same body size as the G3.
