Olympus XZ-1 review at Photographyblog

There’s alot to like: “The camera ticks all the boxes that any experienced photographer is looking for – “sensible” pixel count, a very fast lens, raw file support, a reliable multi-point AF system and a well implemented manual exposure mode complete with an optional live histogram“…”In summary the Olympus XZ-1 is a very attractive and well thought-out – if a bit expensive – digital compact camera that appeals to a wide range of users and presents a real threat to the likes of the Canon Powershot S95, Panasonic Lumix LX5 and Samsung EX1.” The camera gets Highly Recommended!

2 years ago |According to samples I’ve seen the camera is good, very good, but not a overthrower of nor LX3 nor LX5, not at all.

2 years ago |I do really like this camera. I would have a hard choice if I had not already bought an E-PL1, moving up from a basic P&S.

2 years ago |It’s interesting to see that the XZ1 seems to get a highly recommended in all serious reviews so far – and so much bad critics from users who haven’t actually touched the camera, yet. (incl. defending the LX5 or S95 cameras).
I’m looking forward finally have Oly colors in a compact, again, and can easily live with some very academic ISO disadvantages etc. compared to its peers.
